The Fondazione’s institutional bodies are the Board of Directors, the Steering Committee and the Shareholders’ Assembly, which guarantee an independent approach firmly keyed to the interests of the community.
The Fondazione is also subject to supervision by the Department of the Treasury, which keeps a watchful eye on compliance with the law and the Statute, on proper and prudent management, on the profitability of net assets and on the effective safeguarding of the interests sanctioned in the Statute.

The Steering Committee, the Assembly of Members and the Board of Directors do not benefit from the Foundation’s revenue or assets, which are reserved exclusively for non-profit activities and cannot distributed to members. If Fondazione CR Firenze is put into liquidation, its assets must be distributed to other Florentine foundations or institutions having the same statutory purposes as the Fondazione itself. Limited tenure for members of the Foundation’s governing bodies ensures both independence and turnover. For legal purposes, the Ultimate Beneficial Owners are identified as the Chairman of the BOD and the General Manager (both in their capacity as senior executives). The Foundation’s financial statements are certified annually by a leading international auditing firm and communicated to the Ministry of Finance.
